Gesamtplan RaumOrtLabor 08 höhengrün

Raumortlabor Hombroich is a visionary urban planning project designed for a site near the Stiftung Insel Hombroich. Since 2002, the ROL project has been dedicated to the experiment of different communal life forms, most of which provide their own energy and food. First results for the architectural planning of the sections were planned by 14 internationally renowned artists and architects, exhibited at
the Architecture Biennale in Venice and the AIA Center for Architecture in
New York, as well as in Hombroich and in Cologne. The project Raumortlabor
is introduced in its conception in the book catalogue »Rundbau in Hombroich«,
the manifestation as well, as the architectural designs are included in the
catalogues of Raumortlabor and were presented in the exhibition at the
Biennale in Venice. The whole project has been presented in an exhibition
and a symposia at the Museum Ludwig in Cologne during the architectural
event Plan08, here introduced in an exhibition catalogue, invitation
and exhibition views.
